Internet Explorer 11 - Creating a Bookmark for URL Bookmarking Web Addresses

Bookmark a page / Add favorite in Internet Explorer 11. Provides easy reference to frequently used web-sites.

Step 1. From the site you wish to bookmark, click on the Favorites button (a five-pointed star) located on the toolbar at the top of your screen.

Step 2. Click Add to Favorites.

Step 3. In the dialog box:

  1. Optionally change the name of the favorite.
  2. Optionally save the favorite to a different folder than the main Favorites list.
  3. Optionally create a new folder in which to save this favorite.

Step 4. Click Add.

Note: To access this favorite later, click the Favorites link located on the toolbar at the top of your screen, navigate to the folder in which you saved it (if you did this), and select the favorite. The web page for that favorite will display.
