Submitting the Library Tutorial Certificate PDFs in Canvas

For the  Library Tutorial Assignments you will be required to submit PDFs. Below is a guide on how to submit these assignments.

First, complete the "Introduction to the Library" tutorial. Once you complete all questions, you will be taken to a screen showing your score and certificate of completion. On this page, click the blue "PDF" button at the bottom of the page. This will download the PDF to your computer. You will need to upload this later.



Once you have the PDF downloaded, go to the "Introduction to the Library Assignment" assignment page in your course. Once you are there, click the blue "Start Assignment" button in the top right hand corner. Under "File Upload" click "Choose File."

This will open your file explorer where you will select the PDF you want to upload and submit. Your PDF will be in your "Downloads" folder.

Once you have located the PDF, double click the name of the file to upload it. Once uploaded, you will see the title of the attached PDF. Once you check the title of the attached PDF, click the blue "Submit Assignment" button.


Once successfully submitted, you will see this message in the top right hand corner where you can again double check that the correct PDF has been submitted.



You will use the same steps for the next assignment - Navigating the Library's Gateway Search Assignment. Complete the "Navigating the Library's Gateway Search" tutorial. Once you complete all questions, you will be taken to a screen showing your score and certificate of completion. On this page, click the blue "PDF" button at the bottom of the page. This will download the PDF to your computer. You will need to upload this for the second assignment.

Once you have the PDF downloaded, go to the "Navigating the Library's Gateway Search" assignment page in your course. Once you are there, click the blue "Start Assignment" button in the top right hand corner. Under "File Upload" click "Choose File."

This will open your file explorer where you will select the PDF you want to upload and submit. Your PDF will be in your "Downloads" folder.


Attach the correct PDF certificate, and then click the "Submit Assignment" button.

With this assignment you can also check the assignment details in the upper right hand corner of the page to verify that the correct PDF has been submitted.
