Why does EGCC have a printing policy? To reduce the waste of paper, ink, toner and maintenance costs incurred by excessive and unauthorized printing. By reducing the waste of resources we are also contributing to a more friendly and responsible environment. How much does it cost me to print something? For every black and white page you print, $0.05 cents will be deducted from your printing account. For every page you print in color, $0.35 cents will be deducted from your account. Do my credits carry over to the next semester if I don't use them all? No. How do I check my account balance? After you successfully log in to a computer a "pop-up" will appear on your desktop showing the balance of your account. Will I be notified when my print credit balance is low? Yes. When your balance reaches $2.50 or lower you will be notified with a pop up message when you log in to a computer on the Jefferson County Campus. An e-mail will also be sent to your student e-mail account. What happens when there are not enough print credits in my account? The print audit system will not allow you to print. You will receive a pop-up on the lower right hand corner of your desktop screen stating "Not enough print credit". What do I do when I need to add money to my account? Steubenville Campus - you can go to the cashiers window located in the Gator Center Monday - Friday, between the hours 8 a.m.-4 p.m. using cash, check, debit or credit card and you can add credit in $5 blocks. Youngstown Campus - go to Technology Services, room A104 with cash and you can add credit in $5 blocks. Can I use my grants or other financial aid to add credit to my printing account? No. It is strictly "cash and carry". What if something happens that the printer jams or the power goes out in the middle of my print job ? Will I lose money spent on the print job? No. You need to request a refund if this happens.
